To get to the United States, a visa is necessary. In the event that the departure to the US will take place for non-profit purposes (holidays, sightseeing, visits to family and friends, etc.), apply for a B-2 visa.
What should you do? We will tell you in a few simple steps:
The passport must be valid for more than six months over the planned stay in the USA.
The picture must be current, i.e. taken in the last six months. Dimensions: 5 cm x 5 cm. All guidelines can be found on the website of the American Embassy in Poland. However, any good photographer knows exactly how a photo should look like.
The form can be found on this page: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/.
This amount is non-returnable, which means, among other things, that you can not apply for a refund if you do not receive a visa. The fee for processing a tourist visa application is USD 160.
You can do this using https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=Polish&country=Poland.
For this you need: a passport number, a confirmation number to pay the fee for processing the application and a ten-digit bar code from the website confirming the submission of the DS-160 form.
Remember that you should come to the meeting on time, so think carefully and choose a date and time convenient for you.
What documents do you need to have with you?
At the Embassy and Consulate, follow the instructions of the employees. The whole visit in this place may take some time, so book yourself at least a few hours a day.
Note: all necessary information can be found on this page: https://pl.usembassy.gov/en/. There, you will find all necessary information about the entire visa process. Do not use any “third source companies” in the process of applying for a visa.
